Oswald Loomis had one of the highest-rated children's television shows in history, until the head of Galaxy Broadcasting, Morgan Edge, decided to
cancel it. This made Loomis very angry, and he decided to take his revenge by killing Edge. But Loomis' childlike manner (the result of too many hours of
children's programming) caused him to color his attacks on Edge in a rather prankish manner--leading to his name, the Prankster. The Prankster was captured
at Metropolis General Hospital while trying to carry out his intended assassination of Morgan Edge.
