BLOODSPORT!

When a maniac burst into a Metropolis diner and started a deadly shooting spree, the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit knew it was a job for Superman!

Superman had a face-off with the terrorist, who called himself Bloodsport, in a bowling alley. Bloodsport surprised the Man of Steel with a teleporation device which he used to pull his weapons from an undisclosed location. One of those weapons was a gun which fired a kryptonite bullet! Superman realized then that Bloodsport had a connection with Lex Luthor, the only person in Metropolis in posession of kryptonite.

Superman was able to destroy Bloodsport's teleporting device, and the madman was brought to justice.

Some time later, another Bloodsport arrived on the scene. This one had procured the original's teleportation system and had it surgically implanted in himself. The new Bloodsport began a violent hate crime spree, attacking the minority populations of Metropolis, as well as anyone who befriended them. He even targeted Jimmy Olsen and Ron Troupe of the Daily Planet! Superman defeated this Bloodsport, and he was taken to jail at Stryker's Island.

The two Bloodsports met in what was supposed to have been a controlled boxing match at Stryker's, with Superman acting as referee. Had it been just a regular boxing match, there is little doubt that the first Bloodsport would have won. But, associates of the second Bloodsport informed him that they'd hacked into his teleportation frequency, and would send him weapons during the fight!

Chaos ensued during the match when Bloodsport II suddenly became armed. In the confusion, Bloodsport I made a break for freedom. He made it as far as the outer wall before the guards took him down. As for Bloodsport II, his associates, displeased with his failure to kill Bloodsport I, had him destroyed while in solitary confinement.

Some time later, a female vigilante calling herself Demolitia appeared on the scene. This vigilante wore a similar costume to the original Bloodsport, and used a similar teleportation device. Her targets, however, were male criminals who sought to take advantage of female victims.
